The hunger strike

Closing words on the hunger strike….

Konstantin Fotopoulos (death row) is no longer in M/M and was removed during the hunger strike, as was Jay Siegler and Stephen Whitsett.

Further more, we received notice that Ricardo Gill has gained a few privileges and is hoping to be moved.

Also Christopher Michelson has been promised to be moved and …

Today, March 1st I got this email from Ronnie Clark's mother:

Hi There:

I received a letter from Ronnie today and I am so happy I could just cry, in fact, I did but that's ok.

He is off M/M as of 3:00 pm Tuesday February 24th. Isn't that great!! Now he can get food off the canteen and get magazines to read and hopefully get his TV back. He is excited because he can go to the law library and study law.

I don't know if this means I can go see him soon or not. I am just very happy that he is off M/M.

Shirley

This means that there are no more death row inmates in maximum management as of this date.

It is very encouraging that solutions can be found. All in all it seems like new winds are truly blowing, and since we are all in this boat together, - prisoners, prison staff and relatives-. Imagine what we could accomplish of good if we all worked together?
